Slewing Ring Drive With 24V DC Stepper Motors, Drivers And Encoders For Solar Plant
Slewing Ring Drive Description
What is a Slewing Drive?
A slewing drive (or slew drive for short) is a complete, ready to install system that consists of a ball or roller slewing ring (bearing), worm, and completely enclosed housing. It can be customized with hydraulic or electric planetary gearboxes with selectable IP grade based on different applications and customers’ demand. It has the features of corrosion protection, high load, and high precision.
The solar tracking rotary drive device adopts the slewing bearing and the annular worm structure, which can achieve multi-tooth contact, has the characteristics of large transmission torque and stable operation; can withstand large radial and axial loads and strong overturning Torque (anti-wind resistance) is being widely used in solar photovoltaic power generation tracking systems and other new energy industries by domestic and foreign customers.

Advantages
Changzhou hangtuo uses a double-envelope technology to produce a slewing drive with ring-wound worm technology as the most important means to maximize load and improve transmission efficiency and accuracy. When the worm is engaged with the slewing bearing, multi-tooth engagement can be achieved, and when the worm is engaged, only one-tooth engagement can be achieved. The increased tooth surface engagement of the 5 to 11 teeth thus greatly enhances the strength and power of the transmission. Our range of slew drive is available in several series and covers a wide range of models. The performance range and installation dimensions can meet the needs of different applications. At present, our products can be divided into 9 basic models, the diameter of the raceway ranges from 75mm to 800mm. The load range is from 6kNm to 220kNm, the torque output is from 200Nm to 63kNm, the turning torque is from 500Nm to 271kNm, and the transmission reduction ratio is from 30:1 to 156600:1. The installation method can be horizontal, vertical or multi-axis.
You can order a basic type (open gear) or a fully enclosed type. We also offer a two-axis slew drive (single rotary drive rotates simultaneously in both directions) and a single-shaft dual drive (two drive worms drive the same slewing bearing on a single shaft).
Typical slew drive applications include solar power plants, wind turbines, truck cranes, aerial work vehicles, utility equipment, hydraulic equipment, petroleum equipment, wheel steering equipment, excavators, and automatic lifting equipment. There are many other applications that have not been exhaustively listed, as the slewing drive is the best choice for applications that offer high loads and high torque on the same transmission.
We produce many different types of slew drives and offer many types of slew drives and drive components. Our slew drives can be self-locking or back-drive. The self-locking slew drive does not reverse when the reverse force is transmitted from the slewing ring to the worm, and there is no need to install a separate brake. Instead of self-locking, it can be driven in reverse. For hydraulic applications, we supply hydraulic motors to our customers. For electric equipment, we can supply gearboxes and various motors for our customers.
