SE1 Small Worm Drive Slewing Drive For Solar Power Panel Tracking System
Worm Gear Slew Drives Introduction
A slewing drive can support a heavy but slow-turning load, often a horizontal platform such as a conventional crane, a swing yarder, or the wind-facing platform of a horizontal-axis windmill. Now, it is widely used in solar energy: single axis solar tracking system, dual axis solar tracking system, concentrated solar power, fresnel, heat tower and even in antenna.
The helical gear and hourglass worm make it achieve multi tooth contact, which made it can bear the axial force, radial force and the tilting moment at the same time.

Applications
Photovoltaic tracking systems
The design principles of photovoltaic tracking systems are not complicated. Since the irradiation angle of the sun is constantly changing, the traditional fixed photovoltaic panels are no longer "dead objects" after using the tracking technology. On the contrary, they can chase the sun like sunflowers and increase the amount of solar radiation received, thereby improving the overall power generation of the power station.
