Single Axis Small Slew Drive For Self Locking For PV , CPV And CSP Solar Trackers
Small Slew Drive Description
Solar trackers are rising in popularity, but not everyone understands the them. Solar panel tracking solutions are a more advanced technology for mounting photovoltaic panels. Fixed mounts, which hold panels in a fixed position, can have their productivity compromised when the sun passes to a less-than-optimal angle. Compensating for this, solar trackers automatically move to “track” the progress of the sun across the sky, thereby maximizing output.
Two SE slewing drives can be installed in the system and achieve azimuth and elevation direction rotating at the same time.
The use of a highly portable, efficient slewing drive can be very useful to applications of the military, industrial, or residential variety. To produce an efficient solar generation system, the SE slewing drive was designed, built and tested.
SE slewing drive used solar tracking system is believed that will contribute significantly in increasing the efficiency of energy collection from the PV panels. Use two SE slewing drives in one solar tracking system allow for precise control of the elevation and azimuth angle of the panel relative to the sun. Tracking is reported to potentially double the energy yield of a fixed PV solar system.

Advantages
1. Trackers generate more electricity than their stationary counterparts due to increased direct exposure to solar rays. This increase can be as much as 10 to 40% depending on the geographic location of the tracking system.
2. There are many different kinds of solar trackers, such as single-axis and dual-axis trackers, all of which can be the perfect fit for a unique site. Installation size, local weather, degree of latitude and electrical requirements are all important considerations that can influence the type of solar tracker best suited for a specific solar installation.
3. Solar trackers generate more electricity in roughly the same amount of space needed for fixed-tilt systems, making them ideal for optimizing land usage.
4. Advancements in technology and reliability in electronics and mechanics have drastically reduced long-term maintenance concerns for tracking systems.
